NEARLY 1 BILLION CM OF GAS PRODUCED AT LAN TAY GAS FIELD.

After almost 15 months Nam Con Son Project, which is invested and operated by BP, started its operation at Lan Tay gas field, from Vung Tau 370km south-east, by 16 Feb, 2004 it has produced nearly 1 billion cm of gas which were transported to the shore at once. This volume of gas will be supplied to power factories of Phu My industrial complex (Tan Thanh-Ba Ria-Vung Tau).

VINASHIN WON A LARGE ORDER OF 15 SHIPS FROM GRAIG, A BRITISH COMPANY

(Tuoi Tre)-On January 29, 2004, a commercial contract was signed between Graig (Britain) and Vinashin in which Graig placed an order of 15 ships with overall worth of $322 billion.Those ships are new model designed by foreign companies, having 50,000–ton capacity which is highest in shipping industry history.

EA KRONG ROU HYDROELECTRIC PLANT BUILT IN KHANH HOA

Ea Krong Rou Hydroelectric Plant which has total investment nearly 530 billion VND is expected to build on March, 2004 at Ninh Tay Village, Ninh Hoa District, Khanh Hoa Province and finish by the end of 2006. As a declaration from Khanh Hoa People’s Committee, the clue of the Plant locates on the top of a fall of Ea Krong Rou head-waters including 02 machine groups with capacity of 28MW. The Plant plans to supply National Grid an average of over 110 mm kWh a year.
