Remote Visual Inspection also known as RVI, is a form of visual inspection which uses visual aids including video technology to allow an inspector to look at objects and materials from a distance because the objects are inaccessible or are in dangerous environments. RVI is also a specialty branch of nondestructive testing (NDT).
Why use RVI on any piece of equipment, because as humans, we rely on our visual sense to make critical decision and video-scope inspection lets you visualize what you normally cannot. We don't have to remove or replace the whole pipe/tube if we can inspect the pipe/tube from the inside and fixed the exact location and make the right decision.
Our Solution
With latest videoscope system with digital stereo measuring capability for accurate, three dimensional defect measurement at any target angle, AlphaNDT offers RVI to inspect inside heat exchangers tube, steel pipes, drainage pipes, plant piping, behind walls, small vessels through openings, unreachable areas of vessels, inside ceilings, in and around pipes and machinery, under vehicles and aircraft as well as the ducts work in HVAC systems.
Benefits
- Identify possible visualized defect (Poor weld root, pitting, scaling, corrosion, crack, clogging and etc)
- Observe and categorize the extent of each defect
- Evaluate turbine/tube/pipe condition and cleanliness
- Predict possible breakdown of equipment
- Evaluate the overall condition of equipment
- Reduce re-piping and re-tubing cost
- Reduced risk of company liability with documented inspection reports
- AlphaNDT’s exclusive, one-stop service
