ALPHA NDT TO FOLLOW RISK ASSESSEMENT MISSION FOR NAM CON SON GAS PRJECT

Nam Con Son Gas Project is Viet Nam’s first huge gas project which is also the biggest ever foreign investment project of the country. This project’s developed by a joint-venture of PetroVietnam and its partners, including BP (UK), ONGC Videsh (India) and ConocoPhillips (US).The project is predicted to provide 3 billion gas cubic meters yearly, enough to produce 12 billion kwh of electricity, equivalent to 40 percent of Vietnam current electricity demand. In 2002 when Alpha NDT was just found, although it’s still a young company it awarded the assignment of becoming NDT subcontractor for the project from Lloyd Register (UK) thanks to its aggressive labor team and high determination of the management board. The scope is to supply services of MT, UT, RT, PT, thickness survey for piping system and tank and vessel for the risk assessement mission of the whole project structures from Lan Tay Platform to Dinh Co Processing Plant to Phu My Gas Distribution Station.
