ALPHA NDT RECEIVE GL’S APPROVAL FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF TM ON BOARD

After consideration of documents submitted by Alpha concerning to approval for the performance of thickness measurement (TM) on board, together with the satisfactory result from the audit executed at Alpha’s office refering to thickness measurement technique, Germanisher Lloyd (GL) decided to issue Alpha with the certificate for the mentioned service by the end of August, 2004. In order to achieve this success, Alpha’s members have to completely exert themselves to satisfy GL’ s strict requirements, once again making its service added to approved TM provider list of IACS (International Association of Classification Societies). Thus, after nearly three years of operation, Alpha’s NDT services have been qualitatively certified by almost international significant classification organizations such as VR (Vietnam), ABS (America), DNV (Norway), ClassNK (Japan), Lloyd Register (UK) and lately GL (Germany). Those achievements’ve really been initial stable steps, creating solid foundation for a long-term itinerary.
