M/V ‘MANILA BAY’ AND ALICE, THE BEGINING OF ALPHA NDT WITH A NEW PARTNER

On May 3rd, 2004 a contract was signed by Alpha NDT and a new partner in which Alpha NDT was appointed to perform thickness measurement job for the M/V “MANILA BAY”, member of ships approved by Germanischer Lloyd Register (GL Register), initially setting up the business association between Alpha NDT and the partner. The M/V “MANILA BAY” which has its nationality of Bahamas, capacity of 17,778 tonnes, is 184,35 meters in length, 25,30 meters in breadth was built in June, 1984 by STOOZNIA SZCZECIN POLAND. The work was executed at Saigon Port and lasted for 18 days. With experience won during the past activities, Alpha achieved success for the first time of hull rating execution for a ship under GL Register with the total workload reached about 4,000USD. Thanks to the satisfactory result from this work, last week Alpha NDT joyfully welcomed the cetificate on thickness gauging granted by GL Register, reaching one of its goals of 2004.
