Vinashin’s Sun which has highest capacity till now (with loading capacity of 12,600 tons, length of 136,4 meters, width of 22 meters, 3 tanks and 30-ton crane) was built at BachDang Shipyard, Hai Phong, VietNam and loaded-out in 2002. Vinashin’s Sun started its trip on August 24th, 2003 and it will go back on January 6th, 2004, finishing 131-day seagoing trip (with 85 days on the sea, crossing 26,211 nautical miles (48,543 kilometers equivalently), carrying 22,700 tons of goods and 7,791 cubic meters of wood, achieving total turnover of US$1,207 million. Vinashin’s Sun has the honour of being the first ship in Vietnam carrying out and succeeding world-around trip.
