A GAS-FIELD HAS JUST BEEN DISCOVERED OFF THE COAST OF VIETNAM BY TALISMAN ENERGY INC.

Talisman Energy, the second company in oil exploitation field in Canada has just discovered a gas-field off the coast of Vietnam which has gas reserves estimation from 70-100 billions cubic minutes (about 2 to 2.8 billion m3) and can be exploited 34 millions cubic minutes/day.
The gas-field has name of Hoa Mai-1x, block 46-Cai Nuoc. It lies off continental shelf PM-3 CAA Bunga Kekwa C, Malaysia a distance of 9km south-west, and is a part of PM-3 oil exploitation project worth about 815 millions USD of Talisman.
The oil-exploitation of PM-3 Project stretchs away to the territorial waters of both Vietnam and Malaysia, and expectably puts up the oil exploitation output of Talisman to 40 000 convention oil barrels per day in 2004.
Talisman presently has 33% of the shares of gas-field in Vietnam. Other partners of Talisman are PetroVietnam (Vietnam) and Petronas Carilagi (Malaysia).
