PETROVIETNAM TO BUILD OIL TANKER FLEET

(VNA) - PetroVietnam has been in plan to build an oil tanker fleet of 15 ones to transport crude oil from foreign countries.
According to announcement on 2nd March, PetroVietNam tell that these tankers will transport crude oil exploited from overseas oil-wells and exported from foreign countries with the aim to meet domestic customer demand and forthcoming requirement of petrochemical industry. PetroVietnam has been cooperated with companies of Venuezela, Malaysia and other countries in order to explore and exploit oil wells there. As known, in 2006, PetroVietnam exploited 30,000 tonnes of crude oil from overseas oil-wells.
