ULTRASONIC THICKNESS MEASUREMENT AT DONGDO MARITIME COMPANY

From 8 Sep, 2006, at the first float of Bachdang anchorage - Haiphong City, Alpha NDT Northern Branch’s technicians have carried out Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement for 2 floats which lead to Dongdo Floating Dock 01 of Dongdo Maritime Company. Vietnam Maritime Corporation (VINALINES) approved Dongdo Maritime Company to build the floating dock with the capacity of 8000 DWT in order to make the said Company more initiative in repairing and maintainance of fleets of Dongdo Company and other members of VINALINES. Many experts judge that the floating dock will have many clients beside “Vinalines family” because at present, in vessel repairing field, supply is less than demand.
