NDT INSPECTION FOR PADEYES AND RUBBISH SKIP

On 17 July, 2006 Alpha NDT officially started inspection work for padeyes of the containers and rubbish skips which being fabricated at Alpha ECC workshop, Dong Xuyen Industrial Zone, Vung Tau City. These are means used to transport goods, material, equipments, ect to the Lan Tay Platform of BP. After a long working time, the above mentioned units have to be replaced with the aim to guarantee loading and lifting at the port as well as offshore.
BP, project owner contracted with Alpha ECC, a member of Alpha Group for the fabrication and installation of these padeyes and rubbish skips. Alpha NDT, according to Alpha ECC’s assignment, has undertaken the inspection by MT and PT methods for the welds on these mentioned units. The work has performed under supervision of BP and Germanisher Lloyd.
The work volumn is about 50 units and expected to finish on 28 July, 2006.
