a Petro Vietnam officer said "a Joint Operation led by Technip Coflexip is only a bidder invited by Petro Vietnam for contract negotiation. Anyway, it does not mean that we have to agree unreasonable price proposal and Petro Vietnam opens to talk with other listed bidders".
As scheduled, Technip Coflexip will officially send its revised quotation to PetroVietnam. It is supposed that this quotation will be higher than an amount of 720 million USD proposed in a bid price.
It is explaned of price increase that Petro Vietnam agreed with Technip's alternative proposal to modify some technological details against FEED design and required more responsibilities of Main Contractor in design, construction and operation of Refinery.
