PRACTISING ECT, RFT AND MFL METHODS AT ALPHA NDT

On August 22, 2005 at Alpha NDT’s Head Office, the training course on practising instruction of the system of MS 5800 operating on inspection supporting softwares of Multiview and Carto 2.1 RO was executed by Mr J.C from R/D Tech (Canada) to Alpha NDT’s technicians. Multiview is an inspection software applied to many high-tech inspection methods such as: Tube IRIS, ET, Mapping, Tube RFT/MFL which recognized not long ago and applied in Viet Nam for the first time. In this course, the technicians were initially instructed to use MS5800 for ECT, RFT and MFL methods. RFT (Remote Field Testing) and MFL (Magnetic Flux Leakage) are inspection methods basing on magnetic field producing from probe and transducer moving along the pipes while inspecting. At the moment parameters of magnetic field change shall be processed by the software and give the evidences of defects.
