THE COURSE ON EDDY CURRENT TESTING METHOD FOR ALPHA NDT’S TECHNICIANS

Due to the policy of large - scale and long - term investment in personnel, Alpha NDT have planed to associate with overseas firms to provide training on high technological NDT methods for the technicians with the aim getting the workforce ready everytime for coming projects. The first course of this month commenced from 15/08 and on Eddy Current Testing, one of high technological NDT methods used to inspect complex structures such as turbine, boiler, gas pipeline in gas plant, thermoelectric plant, hydroelectric plant, etc in accordance with ASNT Recommended Practice SNT-TC-1A, 2001 Edition. This inspection method has almost been not popularized in Viet Nam except some significant constructions and have to be performed by foreign experts. The course has been executed by NDE Associates Inc (United States) at Alpha NDT Company’s request and directly operated by Mr Kumar, an NDT expert holding the level III ASNT certificates for MT, PT, RT, UT, ET and VT.
