ALPHANDT TO BE AWARDED CONTRACT OF NDT SERVICE PROVISION FOR PHU MY – HO CHI MINH GAS PIPELINE PROJECT

Today, June 29, 2007, AlphaNDT officially receive the letter of award from Malaysia's Nacap Asia Pacific Company for provision of NDT services for WPQT & WQT and line-pipe butt-welds for natural Gas Pipeline Phu My - Ho Chi Minh Project.
The Project is to construct a DN550 (12’’ & 22’’) natural gas pipeline and associated facilities and equipments between Phu My GDC Off-take Station and Hiep Phuoc Power Plant with a total length of approximately 39 km with a branch of approximately 1 km provided to Nhon Trach GDS. The new facilities will primarily and initially supply fuel gas to power generation stations at Nhon Trach and Hiep Phuoc. Malaysia's Nacap Asia Pacific Company has been assigned by its ultimate client, State-owned oil giant PetroVietnam to construct the installation since October, 2006 and scheduledly it will complete the work in the first quarter next year.
In this Project, AlphaNDT’s awarded the contract for following works:
- The provision of manpower, equipment and materials including reporting and documentation to carry out the NDT for WQT and WPQT at Go Dau Port, Viet Nam.
- The provision of manpower, equipment and materials including reporting and documentation to carry out the NDT in the field of the butt – welds on 12” and 22” diameter carbon steel pipe of wall thicknesses 11.9, 14.3 & 22.2 mm.
As this’s a large-scale Project and the work schedule is stated rather urgent so AlphaNDT’s presently making every effort to mobilise all necessary sources for the work required to be started on July 2, 2007.
