PETROVIETNAM START CONSTRUCTION OF DAKDRINH HYDRO POWER PLANT

On March 28, 2007, at Son Tan Commune, Son Tay District, Quang Ngai Province, Petro Vietnam organized the opening ceremony of Dakdrinh Hydro Power Joint Stock Company and started construction of Dakdrinh Hydro Power Plant which has capacity of 125 MW and total investment about 3.000 bil.dong.
Dakdrinh Hydro Power Joint Stock Company is found by four shareholders including Petro Vietnam, VietNam Investment and Development Bank, Substructure Development and Construction Company and Song Da Company. As scheduled, till 2010 the plant will be into operation contributing to power provision to country and meeting the requirement of maintaining constant power supply for operation of Dung Quat Economic Zone with 520,8 million kW-h/year.
