SUCCESSFULLY DONE THE FITTING NEW BLOCK TO THE BODY OF CARRIER “ASIAN EMPIRE”

On 25 May, 2006 after completing ultimate survey the ship “ASIAN EMPIRE” had been towed to the dry dock numbered 1 at Hyundai Vinashin shipyard for cutting in two, being ready for fitting work. On 27 May, 2006 the cutting had been successfully completed. The head of it was on tow to quay numbered 2 so that the block newly fabricated could be tugged to the mentioned dock for fitting. This’s the most important step as all the parts lifted by water force that requiring a strict well-jointed status during fitting execution. Till 31 May the fitting was excellently done. As scheduled, Alpha NDT shall carry out RT and UT works for the welding joints in coming days.
