CONSTRUCTION OF DUNGQUAT OIL REFINERY TO START IN NOVEMBER,2005

Work is scheduled to start on the construction of the Dungquat Oil Refinery, the first in Vietnam, in November 2005. Technip, the contractor of the project, is beginning to design at its four centers of the contractor complex, from France, Japan, Spain and Malaysia for contract 1+4 (oil refinery and offshore oil container)
Technip has also chosen the sub-contractors to carry out onland and offshore surveys and ordered the supply of all 25 major equipment for NHT, CCR and LCO workshops.
Contract 2+3 will come in to effect on Sept 24,2005 while contract packages 7, 5A and 5B will be completed in 2007-2008.
